In League of Legends, the Twitch streamer TF Blade is currently under criticism. People on reddit are discussing that he behaved incorrectly in a LoL game and engaged in “griefing.” This is frowned upon behavior. His colleague Tyler1 can actually not stand anyone in the world, especially not TF Blade, but in this case, he defends his rival.
What is TF Blade currently being criticized for? TF Blade is accused of having engaged in “griefing.” In gaming, this refers to “unsportsmanlike behavior.” A clip of TF Blade is circulating in the LoL subreddit showing him behaving clearly incorrectly:
- TF Blade plays Nautilus on the top lane, but leaves the top lane at level 7
- He then just runs into the jungle and takes the camps and the red buff from his own jungler, Nidalee – that is not his job
Out of context, the clip seems completely meaningless. Because, actually, it is the job of the top laner to stay on his top lane during this phase of the game
On reddit, it is said that TF Blade “left his lane” to sabotage his own jungler. Since he did not help him on his lane in the first 8 minutes, he did not deliver a “gank” there.
“Spoiled brat”
What do people say about TF Blade? Under the clip, some users are upset about TF Blade’s “immature” behavior. He is a spoiled brat. One wonders why Riot does not intervene there.
It echoes with: “Twitch streamers think they are better and do not follow the rules that apply to everyone else.”
“Screw TF Blade, but this is a witch hunt”
This is what Tyler1 says: The Twitch streamer Tyler1 is not exactly a big fan of TF Blade, but here he stands up for his streaming colleague.
Tyler1 says: He would have freaked out much worse than TF Blade in that situation.
“Hey, this Nidalee starts the match with boots and flashes away from the fountain. I mean: I would just go AFK there!”
Because without the jungle item and with boots, Nidalee cannot effectively fulfill the role of a jungler. The ability “Flash” is also an important cooldown in LoL that should not be wasted, as it can save a player from otherwise certain death.
For Tyler1, such a situation is clear:
“Screw TF Blade, but this is just dumb. This is a kind of witch hunt on reddit. It has to be like this. These are completely false informations, he is being hard trolled in a match. It’s a miracle that he hasn’t just quit playing – I certainly would. That he still plays is absurd.”
Tyler1 then elaborates that Nidalee has practically done nothing in the game and played 0/2/0 in 20 minutes. He would have freaked out completely in that case, TF Blade only left his lane for 50 seconds.

What’s behind it: The behavior of Nidalee is a fundamental problem in LoL. Such behavior is also referred to as “inting” (from intentional feeding) or “throwing” (just throwing the game away).
For all other players, it is difficult to behave correctly in such a situation because you are practically playing a 4vs5 scenario.
Apparently, Twitch streamers often experience that their matches are sabotaged. For the community, such intentionally poor behavior represents a total red flag – and out of context, TF Blade’s scene does not look good.
Tyler1 is considered a celebrated entertainer in LoL. However, he proves time and again that he is also really skilled at the game:
Streamer plays 80 hours of LoL in 5 days – Goes crazy, but is No.1 on Twitch
