Legendaries are a complex topic in Diablo 4. Effects can be extracted and then transferred to other items, but what should you keep in mind? An expert on Diablo made a big mistake and explains to you what you should pay attention to.
Who is the expert? DM: Diablo 4 is his name. He became known on YouTube through his videos about Diablo Immortal and has been active in Sanctuary again since the release of Diablo 4, streaming and informing players with useful guides about things to consider in the hack & slash.
This time DM made a mistake and now warns you not to make the same one. It’s about legendaries and their effects that you can extract at the Occultist.
Another mistake you can make is selecting the wrong world level. We show you why level 1 is better:
A wrong decision can be very costly
What was the big mistake? Players can get legendary items in Diablo 4 and then convert them into aspects at the Occultist. Aspects are basically materialized legendary effects that you can imprint onto other rare or legendary items.
The problem, however, is that Blizzard does not explain to anyone how exactly the system works, whether aspects can be used infinitely, and how this relates to the values and their increase.
That’s why the YouTuber now regrets his decisions at the Occultist and warns you not to hastily waste your legendary aspects.
What should you consider? DM: Diablo 4 advises you (via youtube.com) to be careful about when you use your legendary aspects, as these are consumed once the Occultist has fused them into other items.
If you remove an aspect from a legendary item, you can only use that aspect once – unlike the aspects from the Codex, which you find in dungeons.
So if you ever find an item with nearly perfect percentage values of a legendary effect, keep it and imprint it into an item that you will never get rid of. Also, make sure to pay attention to the breakpoints so you know when items become stronger.
If you don’t do this, you are basically wasting your aspect and, as DM: Diablo 4 says, even hundreds of hours if you waste an aspect that is close to perfect values and fits your build. The YouTuber has now played for 70 hours and already feels bad.
So take your time and don’t waste your aspects. Try to understand the system and secure your legendary effects in your chest before you accidentally consume or leave them behind.
Two settings you should activate in Diablo 4 are important for better sorting your armor.
