The Diablo expert Wudijo has once again faced the toughest boss in Diablo 4. For a moment, it really seemed as if he had finally defeated him, but that was misleading. He had to flee at the last second before losing his character.
- Wudijo is an expert in Diablo, whose opinion many fans have appreciated for years. When it comes to the tier list for the best classes and builds in Diablo, he is one of the experts on whose assessment they are based.
- The expert has faced the boss before. Previously, he dared to fight, but fled after 24 minutes.
- Another time, a feature was his downfall: the emote wheel.
But Wudijo does not give up. Once again, he has faced the toughest boss in Diablo 4, equipped with a scroll of escape. After 8 minutes in battle, at the end of the second phase, he defeated the boss. At least he thought he did.
He flees at the last second, the attempt was aborted.
Wudijo has put scrolls and elixirs on his emote wheel. In the video, you can see how to get everything out of the feature:
The boss is dead! Or is it?
What happened? Wudijo executes the final attack that should defeat the boss. At the moment when the boss’s health bar is running low, Wudijo flees with his scroll of escape from the dungeon, as his hunter was also about to die.
A final attack almost meant the end for his hunter. Wudijo decides to flee and teleports to safety. Before the boss’s death is confirmed by the game, the fight ended.
After the Diablo expert has arrived in town, he says, “She is dead! What is going on here? Did I get the loot?” However, when he looks at the map, he sees that the boss’s dungeon is marked as “not completed”.
In his nearly 11-minute video on YouTube, you can see the attempt and his reaction. If you don’t want to be spoiled regarding the story and the boss, you shouldn’t watch it.
Why did he flee? Wudijo plays Diablo 4 in hardcore mode. There, a character’s death is permanent, meaning: he dies permanently and cannot be resurrected.
He probably would have received the achievement, as according to Wudijo, the boss’s death animation was already visible. However, he would have lost his hunter at level 100. He chose safety.
Wudijo keeps trying: In his stream on July 5th, he makes another attempt to take on the boss. After about 10 minutes, he finally reaches his goal: the boss that has occupied him for weeks is defeated, the dungeon is marked as “completed”.
