What does he say about the release date? After GTA 6 has already been pushed back twice by the developers at Rockstar Games, this could happen again, says Schreier. He states that even Rockstar Games does not know 100% if they will meet the release date on November 19, 2026.
The release window is seen as more realistic internally by the developers of GTA 6 compared to the previous release dates of fall 2025 and May 2026. At the same time, the expert emphasizes the risk of an overly early release.
Jason Schreier says in the podcast: “The entire stock price of Take-Two rises and falls with this game.” According to him, the stock price would fall by 10% every time there is a new delay. In fact, the stock price jumped significantly upward upon the announcement of GTA 6 and has also fallen several times with the delays in the past, but then experienced another increase.
According to the expert’s assessment, the developers of GTA 6 will look towards October to see if the game is finished and, if in doubt, announce another delay. At the same time, he assumes that they still aim to release GTA 6 in the financial year 2026, which at Take-Two runs until March 2027.
