In The Elder Scrolls Online, every character has a default of 60 inventory slots. However, you can massively expand this to 200 and also have an unlimited amount of materials. We at MeinMMO will show you how it works.
How can I expand my inventory? This can be done through a total of three different actions:
- By purchasing additional inventory slots from the respective merchants
- By additional inventory slots on the mount
- Through the crafting bag with the ESO+ subscription
Additionally, you can use a shared bank account, which you can also expand. You can learn more about this at the end of the guide.
80 additional slots through gold at the merchant
How does the purchase of inventory slots work? For additional slots, you simply need to visit the corresponding NPC and give them money. The more slots you want, the more expensive it becomes. We will show you the respective gold costs per upgrade:
- 70 slots – 400 gold
- 80 slots – 2,000 gold
- 90 slots – 5,900 gold
- 100 slots – 11,000 gold
- 110 slots – 19,200 gold
- 120 slots – 30,700 gold
- 130 slots – 46,000 gold
- 140 slots – 64,500 gold
In total, upgrading to the maximum inventory will cost you 179,700 gold.
Where can you find the suitable NPCs? Depending on which faction you belong to, you need to visit a different NPC. However, these are not marked on the map.
- Followers of the Aldmeri Dominion must visit the NPC Quarano in Auridon.
- Followers of the Daggerfall Covenant must go to Daggerfall and visit an NPC in the south.
- Followers of the Ebonheart Pact must go to Davon’s Watch.
60 additional slots through the mount
How do you get more inventory through mounts? To upgrade the mounts, you only need to visit a stable master, whom you can find in almost every larger city. They allow you to make upgrades on the mounts and increase their speed, stamina, and carrying capacity. The latter is interesting for us.
The carrying capacity can be increased by 1 for 250 gold, up to a maximum of 60 inventory slots. However, an upgrade is only possible every 20 hours. Overall, it will only cost you 15,000 gold to get 60 additional slots.
Unlimited materials through ESO+
How does the crafting bag work? Those who take the paid upgrade ESO+ receive an unlimited crafting bag along with it. This allows you to collect unlimited materials. These will no longer be stored in the inventory but in this special bag. This saves a lot of space.
ESO+ costs 12.99 euros per month or as low as 10.41 euros per month if you order directly for a whole year. Besides the crafting bag, you get access to all DLCs, more experience points, twice as many transmutation crystals, and other small bonuses.
Bank upgrades for the whole account
How does the bank upgrade work? Your bank counts across your account and only needs to be upgraded once. This can be done at any banker in the game. While you do not carry your bank slots with you like in the inventory, you can at least automatically access the contents of the bank while crafting.
By default, you have 60 bank slots available. You can expand this to up to 240:
- 70 slots – 1,000 gold
- 80 slots – 3,300 gold
- 90 slots – 6,800 gold
- 100 slots – 11,400 gold
- 110 slots – 20,500 gold
- 120 slots – 28,300 gold
- 130 slots – 32,700 gold
- 140 slots – 37,500 gold
- 150 slots – 42,000 gold
- 160 slots – 45,000 gold
- 170 slots – 50,000 gold
- 180 slots – 55,000 gold
- 190 slots – 60,000 gold
- 200 slots – 65,000 gold
- 210 slots – 70,000 gold
- 220 slots – 75,000 gold
- 230 slots – 80,000 gold
- 240 slots – 85,000 gold
In total, a maximum bank will cost you 768,500 gold.
