The co-op shooter Evolve introduces the four new hunters, the Tier-4 folks. On March 31, they are set to be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
On March 31, Evolve will have new content for the first time. Two additional maps will initially come only to Xbox. That was already known. However, new is that on Tuesday, March 31, there will also be four new hunters. These are the Tier-4 hunters, which have been awaited for some time and were also part of certain pre-order packages. We present to you the four new hunters.
Torvald – Robo-Assault
For Torvald, they apparently took inspiration from Robocop. The Assault survived an encounter with a monster, but only partially. He has been upgraded with cyber-implants into a kind of “half-human/half-tank” hybrid, carrying two mortars on his back.
Torvald is also dangerous at close range, here he relies on an automatic shotgun and shrapnel grenades. They work best in combination: the grenades reveal weak points, while Torvald fires with the shotgun. Sounds like a strong addition for the hunters in Evolve.
Crow – the Batman Trapper
Crow is a Trapper, seen in the pictures with his bat, the Batray Gobi. Where “bat” for Gobi applies here just as “dog” for Daisy. It is an alien equivalent. Gobi can flutter off on command and track monsters for Crow. He relies on a stasis gun, which can either slow down monsters in rapid fire or force them to their knees with a concentrated beam.
Additionally, he has a second weapon. It can either provide high DPS with rapid fire or, when charged for a shot, go directly through the armor to hit the monster’s health.
Slim – the medical Antman
Slim is the new Tier-4 medic and has some insect strands in his DNA. He can drain health from the monster and charge his “Heal Burst,” which has a larger radius than healing methods of other medics.
Slim is assisted by healing drones that can track his comrades and gradually revive them, but only as long as the hunter is not attacked. As a gimmick, Slim has a spore effect that can hide the hunters from the monster’s sniffing.
Sunny – the legendary supporter
Fans of Evolve have already heard of Sunny. She repeatedly comes up in the hunters’ small talk and has a shared past with Abe and Parnell. Her shield drones support the team and absorb hits for the hunters. Her jetpack booster allows comrades to travel faster and further through the air. And her mini-nuke grenade launcher provides the necessary punch.
