The asymmetrical MOBA Evolve will have a large beta for players on Xbox One in January. PC gamers and PlayStation 4 players will have to settle for a smaller technical beta.
The MOBA Evolve might have been the game of Gamescom 2014. Also, the Big Alpha in November attracted a lot of attention. Xbox One players will have the opportunity to get a detailed experience in the wild genre mix of MOBA and coop shooter from January 15 to January 19 during an open beta.
Progress made in the open beta is expected to carry over into the release, allowing Xbox One players to already make some progress, for example, in unlocking the 4 last hunters. Starting from January 17, the new campaign mode, which puts single matches into a larger context, will also be unlocked.
PC players and friends of the Sony PlayStation 4 won’t be completely left out in January. A “technical beta” will begin for both, inviting players who participated in the alpha. The beta for PC players starts on January 16, while PS4 players will begin on January 17. However, they will not have access to the new game mode, and their progress will not be carried over.
