Evolve is releasing one character after another and promises a coop mode for August.
“Shear Madness” – August will be a month full of new features
Even though the “great demand” for the Free2Play beta of Evolve Stage 2 is slowly fading, the game still boasts solid player numbers. Numerous fans are still playing, so the concurrent players remain consistently between 5,000 and 13,000 – enough to not have to wait long for a match. Generally, the developers are satisfied. According to their own statements, the PC version has grown from nearly 200 players to more than 2 million unique players who have at least taken a look at the game.
For the month of August, the development of new content is relentless. Just yesterday (August 3rd), the adaptation “Quantum Caira” was implemented into the game. Founders receive the character for free, while others must purchase it with Silver Keys from the shop. Quantum Caira does not have a “Healing Burst,” but can create various small zones where allies are healed or enemies are damaged. As a special trick, she can grant all hunters temporary full immunity – perfect for countering a boulder throw from the Goliath.
However, this month is far from over. At least 4 more updates are planned for August, which will bring 2 additional characters and 3 map variations. Additionally, a coop mode has been announced, which many fans have wished for, who are not interested in pure PvP action.
The coop mode is set to be released on August 9th. We will report on it as soon as there is new information.
