Weight and Ergonomics
The weight: At 125 grams, the EVGA X15 is not exactly lightweight. However, in its defense, it must also be said that other MMO mice are not any lighter. For example, the Naga V2 Pro weighs about 135 grams and is thus a bit heavier. Logitech’s G600 is also heavier than the EVGA MMO mouse at 133 grams.
However, the weight only bothered me to a certain extent, as I hardly move the mouse in daily use and primarily use the side buttons actively. For a pure shooter mouse, 120 grams and more would bother me much more.
The ergonomics: I have very large hands with a size of 19 centimeters. Despite my large hands, I have difficulty reaching all the buttons of the mouse meaningfully. This is especially true for the side buttons in the thumb area. The two front buttons (9 and 10) are unreachable for me.
In my eyes, the arrangement of the buttons on the thumb side is particularly annoying: the buttons are arranged in a circle and correspondingly numbered. Logitech and Razer rather rely on the number pad button pattern, which I find more intuitive and catchy at first. Especially at the beginning, I constantly hit the wrong buttons. In the long run, however, I find the circular arrangement for the thumb more pleasant than if the buttons are arranged straight.
Otherwise, the mouse sits well in the right hand, which is also due to the fact that the mouse is slightly longer. This gives my fingers enough space.
The Mouse Buttons, Scroll Wheel, and Sensor
The mouse buttons: EVGA installs optical switches under the mouse buttons. The clicks feel precise, but you also hear a slight metallic sound with each click. Additionally, the switches sound slightly hollow, which is nothing unusual for optical switches.
The click of the mouse is higher than that of Razer’s Naga V2 Pro. The optical switches from Roccat and Logitech sound rather dull. The click feel is definitely good and precise.
The scroll wheel: I have little to complain about the installed scroll wheel. It offers clear notches and is pleasantly heavy to turn.
Sensor: Inside, EVGA uses the Pixart 3389 with a resolution of 16,000 DPI. With the Pixart 3389, you get a current top sensor that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of precision.
Conclusion: A Fair Alternative for MMO Players
For whom is the mouse suitable? With the EVGA X15, you get a well-made gaming mouse with numerous functions. In contrast to Razer’s Naga series, the software is less intrusive but offers nearly the same features.
Especially for users on a budget, the EVGA X15, which is regularly available for €50, is a good deal.

What alternatives are there?
- The Razer Naga Trinity is the most well-known alternative. For around €70, you also get interchangeable side plates. I use the interchangeable parts rather rarely in everyday life.
- The SteelSeries Aerox 9 Wireless weighs only 89 grams and costs around €100. It does not offer interchangeable parts, but is lighter than the EVGA mouse.
- Corsair’s SCIMITAR RGB ELITE is well made and offers comfortable buttons. Priced at around €100, it is also a fair offer.
- Logitech G600 is also an option if you can buy it in Germany. The price often ranges between €60 and €70, but the mouse is no longer officially manufactured in Germany.
