The manufacturer EVGA offers the X15, an MMO mouse. A lot of buttons are supposed to make the mouse interesting for MMO players. MeinMMO editor Benedikt Schlotmann has tested the gaming mouse.
MMO mice are rather niche and primarily appeal to specific individuals who need many buttons. Manufacturers such as Razer, Logitech, and Corsair have established their mice, with Razer’s Naga series being the most well-known representative and Razer confidently calling its Naga V2 Pro (Test) the “MMO king.”
The X15 from EVGA also targets MMO players and features a total of 10 buttons on the side and 2 additional buttons in the thumb area.
But how does the mouse perform in the test? I was able to extensively test the mouse and explain to you for whom the mouse is worthwhile and why it could be a real alternative for you to the market leader.
Who tested it?
Privately, I now own over 20 gaming mice and have tested over 15 keyboards. I also own over 10 sets of in-ear headphones. At MeinMMO, I have been testing hardware for our readers since 2019. Besides the PC and the PS5, I am also active on the Steam Deck.

Contents, design, and structure
What does the package contain? Besides the gaming mouse, there is a manual in the box.
How is the mouse structured? The model features a black design:
- On the top of the mouse are the main buttons and between them the four-way scroll wheel. Above the scroll wheel are two small switches that can be used to cycle through profiles, for example.
- On the thumb side, there are a total of 10 buttons arranged in a circular pattern. Two of these buttons are placed slightly further forward.
- To the left of the left mouse button, there are 2 additional buttons marked (as 11 and 12).
- To the right of the right mouse button, there is an additional wide button.
- The entire mouse is rubberized and feels quite soft, but provides a good grip in daily use. Even if the fingers get slightly damp during regular use, the mouse does not slip.
Processing
The mouse feels well made. This is mainly due to the soft rubberized surface. The only downside: fingerprints are quickly visible on the rubberized surface.
Inside the mouse are optical switches and mechanical buttons which typically offer a longer lifespan than conventional buttons.
The cable is quite stiff and cannot be detached. However, the 1.8-meter cable is more than long enough.
Software
The EVGA X15 uses the proprietary “Unleash” software. The design does not seem very up to date, but the software works flawlessly and is pleasantly clear. All functions are easy to configure, and the software is also available in English.
EVGA avoids unnecessary clutter with „Unleash“ such as self-promotion for hardware or integration of additional software. This is something that annoys me a lot about SteelSeries, where free features and other bonuses are advertised. With Razer, at least many features can be installed or turned off optionally.
Moreover, EVGA does not require an online account or similar, which I find commendable.
In total, you can save up to 5 different profiles in the internal memory of the mouse.
Due to its small size, the software remains pleasantly lean and keeps a low profile. I appreciate such unobtrusive software: it does what it should without aggressively taking center stage.
