Season 10 is approaching in Fortnite soon. There will be a new Battle Pass, a new theme, and possibly major map changes. We will tell you everything about the start date, the end, and what theories are currently circulating.
When does Season 10 start? Season 10 is set to start on August 1. Season 9 is currently in its 10th week and could end after that. This would be on July 18. However, it is likely to be extended by 2 weeks.
The reason for this is the big Fortnite World Cup, which takes place from July 26 to 28. Epic confirmed that Season 9 is still being played there and that the new season will not start yet.
Usually, a new season starts on a Thursday. The first available date would therefore be August 1. Epic also confirmed this on their website.
When does Season 10 end? According to a rumor from a leaker on Twitter, Season 10 is supposed to end again on October 10, 2019.
What will the Battle Pass cost? So far, Battle Passes have always cost 950 V-Bucks, which is 9.50 euros. It is possible that this price will be maintained.
What is known about the end of Season 9? Currently, there are a lot of rumors about the end, as a lot is happening on the map of Fortnite.
A giant monster initially destroyed Polar Peak and then some houses. It is currently swimming around the map. Additionally, a large robot is being built in Pressure Plant.
It is suspected that the two colossi will then fight each other and that the players will be part of a live event.
In line with this, a countdown has now appeared in the game. This is supposed to expire on Saturday evening, July 20 at 8 PM. So the big live event at the end of the season could start then.
Can one expect map changes? Many players suspect that the battle between the monster and the robot will destroy most of the map and that players will finally get a completely new map.
However, it is considered unlikely that the map will be destroyed on July 20. After all, the Fortnite World Cup will take place only after that, and the professionals would have to deal with completely new circumstances.
So far, there has been no season that did not result in map changes. It is therefore possible that some places will disappear and others will be added. However, nothing is known about this yet.
Where a change seems plausible is the ice area. After all, it was added in winter 2018 and is now not really fitting. Something new could certainly emerge here.
Is the theme of Season 10 already known? Epic is still keeping quiet about that. The last seasons have always been announced with small teasers. These have not yet been made public, but could certainly still come. Presumably in the days leading up to August 1.
