Pokémon GO has announced the summer events and also released an image showcasing many interesting Pokémon. We will show you what the image reveals.
What kind of image is this? This image was designed for the GO Fest in Chicago. It shows all the elements important for the event in the USA.
Many of these Pokémon could also be interesting for German players and hint at the GO Fest in Dortmund.
This is what the GO Fest image shows
This is the image: Generally, the image is a huge collage. Pokémon are hiding everywhere, and they could also be interesting for German players. We will go through Pokémon for you, Pokémon by Pokémon.
This is important: Much of this is based on player theories or experiences from last summer. So not everything has to happen as speculated here.
Quiekel, Keifel and Mamutel
What do the Pokémon suggest? This Pokémon family is actually nothing special. There was already a Quiekel community day, and the Shiny is also in the game.
The snow surrounding the Pokémon is a bit suspicious. At the GO Fest 2018, there was a small snow world where Ice-type Pokémon appeared more frequently. This could repeat in 2019.
This means for Dortmund: If Niantic plans another snow world for Chicago, then Dortmund could look similar. Perhaps there will also be some biomes artificially created by Niantic.
Pachirisu
What does the Pokémon suggest? This regional Pokémon will probably be catchable in Chicago. Normally, Pachirisu is only found in the northern regions of North America and Russia. For the GO Fest, it will likely come to Chicago.
This means for Dortmund: Safari zones and the GO Fest especially thrive on their regional Pokémon. In 2018, Corasonn could be caught in Dortmund.
Pachirisu is now announced for Chicago. One can therefore assume that Dortmund will also receive a regional Pokémon. Possibly also from the 4th generation. This could be Plaudagei or Venuflibis.
Icognito
What does the Pokémon suggest? The exclamation mark Icognito indicates that the rare Icognito can also be caught at this year’s GO Fest. This was already the case during the summer events 2018.
This means for Dortmund: At the GO Fest in Dortmund, there will probably be Icognito again. Whether it will be the exclamation mark remains to be seen. At the last event, the letters from the word “Dortmund” were used.
Hippopotas
What does the Pokémon suggest? This Pokémon from the 4th generation is likely to be the biggest surprise. The creature is not in the game yet.
Whether it can be found worldwide before the event, and will appear more frequently during the GO Fest, remains to be seen. Possibly the Pokémon will also be exclusive to the event in Chicago.
This means for Dortmund: If the Pokémon can only be caught at the GO Fest, then Dortmund could also receive this exclusive Pokémon. Otherwise, the spawn rate could also be increased here.
Perhaps Dortmund will get another new Pokémon as well. This will be revealed over time.
Seeper
What does the Pokémon suggest? Seeper is also somewhat surprising in the image. It and its evolutions are not particularly interesting in the meta.
One can therefore assume that this might be the Shiny for the GO Fest. Last year, Plusle and Minun were released as Shiny in Chicago. Afterwards, these Pokémon could be caught worldwide.
This means for Dortmund: If Seeper is released as Shiny, then Dortmund should also have a similar Shiny. What it will be is still uncertain.
In general, Seeper could become interesting for players worldwide because Plusle and Minun were frequently found as Shiny worldwide last year. This might also be the case for Seeper.
Alpollo
What does the Pokémon suggest? Alpollo poses the most riddles. While its pre-evolution Nebulak can be caught as Shiny, it is not clear why Alpollo is visible there.
Perhaps the ghost Pokémon will simply be found more frequently in Chicago for no reason.
This means for Dortmund: If both Alpollo and its pre-evolution can be encountered more frequently, then there is also a good chance to get Shiny Nebulak.
Such a Pokémon could also appear more frequently in Dortmund. For example, in 2018, it was Aerodactyl that frequently appeared as Shiny.
Trasla
What does the Pokémon suggest? Trasla is indeed a rare Pokémon. It is quite possible that it will be encountered more frequently in Chicago.
It is also a hot candidate for a Community Day. It is possible that the Shiny will be introduced by then.
This means for Dortmund: At such events, there are always rare Pokémon to catch. Thus, Trasla might also appear more frequently. Other rare Pokémon, such as Kindwurm or Larvitar could also appear more often.
Chelast
What does the Pokémon suggest? Here it could be similar to Mamutel. All around Chelast are flowers. So it may indicate not only a snow area but also a plant area with particularly many plant-type Pokémon.
This means for Dortmund: This could also mean additional biomes for Dortmund. One can easily imagine walking through the Westfalenpark and wandering from biome to biome.
What do you think about the GO Fest in Dortmund? Are there any other clues that the image could reveal?
By August, the Community Days have also been announced:
