Fortnite: Battle Royale brings back the prehistoric bows. There’s also a new event focused solely on bows. It’s called “Bow Boom” and offers you 5 quests that you should complete using bows. What these quests are, how to complete them quickly, and where to find the bows, you will learn here on MeinMMO.
What kind of event is this? On February 22, 2022, the Bow Boom event (in English “Bow-Nanza”) started in the 3rd chapter of Fortnite. However, it is not a separate mode, but a series of quests that you can complete until March 1 at 2:59 PM.
What are these quests? As the name suggests, it’s all about bows and you get the opportunity to complete certain quests using bows for the week until March 1. You will temporarily receive the cool prehistoric bows that were last available in Season 6 of Chapter 2.
- Hit IO personnel with the prehistoric flame bow (7) – 8K points
- Knock away wildlife in different matches with a mechanical shockwave bow (2) – 8K points
- Hunt wildlife with a bow (3) – 8K points
- Deal damage to players with a prehistoric stink bow (250) – 8K points
- Eliminate opponents with a mechanical boom bow (3) – 8K points
How to complete the quests
All these quests are easy to complete in regular Fortnite matches alongside. The 8K points each are not too exciting, but you can easily collect them while playing regular Fortnite.
Note in the quest with the IO personnel that you do not need to kill them, but only hit them. Therefore, avoid fatal headshots to land as many hits as possible. You can find IO personnel in the IO camps, which are located in the middle of the map as well as in the south and north.
You can also complete the quests with wildlife on the side. It’s best to use the shockwave bow to knock the creatures away and then kill them for the “Hunt wildlife” quest.
The last two quests are ideally completed in the squad modes, as you will encounter many more opponents and have respawns here.
How to find the prehistoric bows
Unlike in Season 6 of Chapter 2, you do not have to painstakingly assemble the bows from scrap. Instead, the bows are available as regular loot in chests, and the corresponding arrows can be found in ammo boxes.
The bows are indeed quite slow, but they deal good damage and when you shoot with them, you have helpful aim assistance.
By the way, the bows are only available in regular matches. The items of the “Bow Boom” week are not available in competitive game modes.
Cool, when you use bows: Fortnite has a quirky control method with which you can aim well without aim assist.
