On September 9th, Sony will host a major PS5 showcase, revealing many updates about their games. We at MeinMMO will cover the event live and summarize all the information in this article.
What kind of event is this? After Sony was absent at the major gaming events of the summer, E3 2021 and gamescom 2021, the publisher has now organized its own event. During the big PlayStation Showcase 2021, fans are expected to “take a look at the future of the PS5,” according to the invitation.
While Sony regularly provides smaller updates through “State of Play” streams, this livestream is on a larger scale and will focus on upcoming PS5 games.
This is what happened during the show

22:40: The highly anticipated game God of War: Ragnarok receives a reveal trailer. Kratos rides through snowy landscapes in a sled and in a canoe across rivers. The BOY is of course also present.
In the combat sequences, Kratos is seen using both his axe and the Chaos Blades to chop his enemies into little pieces. Thor makes his appearance as the antagonist, and Tyr, the Norse god of war, is seen as an ally. The All-Father Odin is only mentioned by name.
The goal of God of War: Ragnarok is to tell a grand story that revolves around father and son while you hack your way through tough enemies. The end of the world, Ragnarok, is, of course, at the center of the game.
22:38: A new Spider-Man game is coming with Venom as the main antagonist. In the trailer, both Peter and Miles fight against the famous villains from the Spider-Man franchise until Venom takes the stage.
However, the release year is still a bit away at 2023.
22:35: The racing game Gran Turismo 7 receives its grand appearance in a new trailer. It showcases the many cars you will own in the game, as well as various tracks to master. The game will be released in March 2022.
22:34: A very short trailer for a new Wolverine game flickered across the screen. Wolverine is being developed by Insomniac, who have already released the popular Spider-Man games.
22:33: The popular action games Uncharted: Lost Legacy and Thief’s End will receive a remaster for the PS5. The Uncharted series revolves around treasure hunter Nathan Drake and his brother Sam, who joins in Thief’s End.
A PC release of the games was also announced, meaning they will no longer be exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
22:31: The next trailer showcases a game called Tchia. It is a new IP. It visually resembles the survival game Raft. You play as a girl named Tchia, who has the magical ability to take control of an animal or object. In the trailer, you can see tires, dogs, or birds that obey her.
She uses these abilities to solve puzzles and explore the game world.
22:28: Another trailer for Deathloop is shown. In this game, you play as a man who is trapped in an endless loop. To break it, he must eliminate certain targets. However, he is hindered by a player who must maintain the loop at all costs. The game can be played both solo and in multiplayer.
22:26: A gameplay trailer for Bloodhunt is shown. In this game, you can play various types of vampires in a bloody battle royale. It is based on the “Vampires: The Masquerade” IP. In the game, you choose an avatar from the typical vampire clans, including the brutal Brujah, the gruesome Nosferatu, or the magically powerful Tremere.
22:22: The new Marvel game Guardians of the Galaxy gets a new trailer. Unlike Avengers, it is a single-player game in which you can make decisions that will impact events in the game.
