In Fortnite: Battle Royale, Season 6 has started and brought some cool new features. Players could dive in and discover plenty of new things in the game. MyMMO author Eilyn Rapp, however, spent the first hours fine-tuning her skins instead of exploring the new map.
What’s happening in Fortnite right now? In Fortnite, Update 16.00 has been released, which introduced a new season. The new Season 6 not only brought a new Battle Pass but also a lot of new features like hunting wild animals and prehistoric weapons. However, some new features weren’t immediately obvious, such as the ability to save even more skin presets now.
The ability to save skin presets isn’t new in Fortnite, but until now, you could only set 10 presets that you could then alternate. Since the start of Season 6, you can set 100 presets and switch them up randomly.
100 presets? I have something to do!
Here’s how my first hours in Season 6 went: When I finally had time to sit down on the PS4 in the evening, I was excited to explore the new season. I started Fortnite and played the solo event, which was pretty grand. The first round was supposed to start, but I went to the locker and discovered that you now have 100 slots available for skin presets.
I thought I could finish up and save a few skins before the round. In my locker, there are some skins, and I would love to wear them all at once – so a feature like that is ideal because you can alternate them in random mode. Full of joy, I got to work fine-tuning my favorite skin and looked for cool combos.
Totally immersed, I then realized that a long time had passed and it was getting late. I still had to try out the new season! Unfortunately, I only had time for a few rounds in which I barely managed to explore the new locations on the map and try out a few of the new prehistoric weapons.
I didn’t exactly picture the start of Season 6 like that, because while I was fine-tuning skin combos, other players were probably discovering the new map and all the cool features. You can tell again that skins are one of my favorite items in the game – so I can definitely take a bit of time for that, right? Now, however, I will focus on the season itself and I am already looking forward to discovering all the new features.
