Sony Online Entertainment has set high expectations for the upcoming MMORPG, but the announcement and the resulting hype around the game was followed by a long period without significant news. This is likely to change drastically now.
The development of the basic tools in Landmark is now complete, and the developers will now focus more intensively on EQ: Next. They will be placing almost the entire team that has been working on Landmark into EverQuest Next. Some features being developed for the MMORPG revolution are still being integrated into Landmark. In the past, it was usually the other way around; development was done for Landmark.
