With the Ascension update, the largest change to the space MMO EVE Online is being introduced: the Free2Play mode.

However, this comes with some limitations compared to the Omega clones of those who still have a subscription to the MMO. While it is possible to play for an unlimited time with an Alpha clone, you are restricted to certain ships and skills and level up more slowly than Omega clones. Nonetheless, this offers a good opportunity to find a free entry into the game.
CCP Games is asking EVE players for some understanding, as this major change essentially affects the entire game and the game service. Therefore, unforeseen problems may arise, which is why today could bring some surprises.
Tips for Getting Started
If you want to get started with Alpha clones in EVE Online, you can follow these tips:
Since Alpha clones are restricted to the skills of a race, you should create clones from each race. However, you should keep in mind to create four accounts and create one character of a different race in each. This is because you can only actively train one character per account. In this way, it is also possible to get to know the ships of other races.
You should set goals right from the start. For example, train the skills to be able to fly a specific ship. The sandbox of EVE can be overwhelming, but with clear goals in mind, you always know what to do.
In EVE Online, you usually gain ISK through mining and missions, but that can take quite a while. You can get the currency faster by looting the wrecks of other players. While the wrecks belong to the players who destroyed the ship, they usually cannot take everything that the destroyed ship was carrying. However, you have to be very quick, as others will also try to get to the loot.
