The death of a developer at CCP Games shocked not only his colleagues but also the players of the MMORPG EVE Online. Therefore, they have now started a fundraising campaign for the survivors.
CCP Blaze, one of the software developers at CCP Games, unexpectedly passed away last November at the young age of 35. This was a shock – not only for his colleagues at the development studio but also for the community of the MMORPG EVE Online when they heard about it. Blaze leaves behind his fiancée and a 1-year-old daughter.
Blaze Skin in honor of the deceased employee
In his honor, the “Blaze” Squadron Skin Set has been developed for the game. The proceeds from its sale will be forwarded to the fiancée and daughter of “CCP Blaze”.
And these skins have been eagerly purchased by the EVE community.

Plex fundraising campaign is a great success – 3.7 million Plex
In just one week in December, from the 12th to the 19th, more than 3.7 million Plex were collected, which amounts to $119,828.50. With the PLEX, one could have obtained 620 years of gameplay in EVE Online.
This is the second highest amount ever raised by a fundraising campaign in EVE Online. This money now goes to the survivors.
CCP Games appears visibly moved by the campaign and can hardly find words to express the gratitude and feelings they experience. The EVE community has once again proven that they stand for good. The players can really be proud of that!
A massive battle is currently taking place in EVE Online.
