Slowly, the PvE content for Eternal Crusade is coming. This week, the first dungeon will be released, featuring plenty of Tyranids.
Attack of the Tyranids
If you look at the description of Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade and compare it to the actual game, you might raise an eyebrow. What is meant to be an “MMO shooter” currently consists mostly of lobby battles on various maps. This is certainly intentional, as the developers want to complete the core elements of the game – namely the shooting – before building the world around it.
Clearly, they are satisfied with the current state of the game, as PvE content is gradually being added. Behaviour Interactive, the developer behind the game, announced in the recent livestream that the first PvE dungeon will be deployed to the servers later this week. The enemies will be the crawling Tyranids that have also infested the game world and are extremely reluctant to be driven from their conquered spots.
However, this dungeon is still a very early version, which is why not all systems are implemented yet. For instance, a “hardcore” mode, particularly strong opponents, or various random events are still missing. All of this will probably be added only after fundamental testing runs.
In the near future, the Orc race is also to be added as a playable race, but this won’t happen with the patch this week. Currently, Warhammer 40000: Eternal Crusade is in Early Access. Fans can purchase the game through the Steam platform.
