The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) introduced its items from the Crown Store in December. Included is an old acquaintance with a drinking problem as a houseguest.
What is this item? The new item is a housing item that will soon be available in the Crown Store (via elderscrollsonline.com). The perpetually drunk Alfiq Sereyne will be available from December 21 to January 7 at 4 PM on all platforms.
The price is still unknown. However, the current houseguest Hroltar the Boastful is available for 1500 crowns. It is therefore likely that Sereyne will be priced similarly.
What is a houseguest anyway? A houseguest in ESO is somewhat like a living interior decoration. You can set character paths for the figures, allowing them to move around your house. You can even determine their walking speed and direction.
You will soon be able to do this with the drunk cult cat Sereyne and create a cozy spot for her to get drunk. She is also one of the funniest NPCs in ESO:
Sereyne the Vomiting Cat
What is special about this NPC? Sereyne is an Alfiq, one of the many subspecies of Khajiit. She looks like an ordinary cat, but is a powerful sorceress. As much talent as she has, unfortunately, she drinks just as much.
She is known from the quest “Birds of a Feather” in Elsweyr. This is one of MeinMMO author Larissa Then’s favorite quests in ESO. There, the otherwise very capable mage is supposed to help you with a mission, but due to her high alcohol level, she brings about a fair amount of chaos.
For example, a teleportation fails, and you must find your comrades again. Additionally, Sereyne likes to vomit while casting spells, and she has to do that quite often during the mission. You can see how funny this is in action in the video:
Until we know what it all looks like in housing, we will unfortunately have to wait a bit longer. The drunk Sereyne will only be available from December 21. However, it is certain that you can create a character path for her and talk to her. We can be curious about what she has to say and whether she stumbles while walking.
What else is in the showcase for December? In addition to the two houseguests, there are more items available for purchase in the Crown Store this December:
- The House of Shalidor’s Concealed Realm
- The Mount Frostmare
- The Companion Dwarven Guar from Sovngarde
- Various Outfit Styles
- Winter Hats
However, you will need to pay crowns for these, which is the real-money currency in ESO. If you want to know how to make the most of the Crown Store, we have a guide from MeinMMO for you. However, you might also have some crowns left over from your ESO+ membership that you want to invest in the funny Sereyne.
