The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online offers its players 10 different races, each with their own peculiarities and stories. Which one is your favorite?
Different races are a staple in the character editors of many modern MMOs. The Elder Scrolls Online is no exception, offering players a wide selection with 10 different races.
Like many elements of ESO, the races stem from the deep lore of the Elder Scrolls franchise by Bethesda. They differ not only in appearance but also have their own backstories woven together over many years.
Different races also play central roles in ESO’s add-ons and have their own characteristic features, prejudices, and stereotypes.

This lizard-like race has adapted to life in the swamp 
Argonians possess a cold and sharp mind 
Bretons have an innate talent for the Arcane. 
More Magicka and a higher regeneration make Bretons better healers. 
The home of this race is Morrowind 
Dark Elves are distant relatives of High Elves. 
Altmer see themselves as the leading race of Tamriel. 
Altmer are regarded as arrogant and xenophobic 
They are a feline race with natural versatility and skill. 
The Khajiit originally come from Elsweyr 
Nords have increased resistance to physical and magical damage 
Nords are born warriors and have conquered almost all of Tamriel 
Orcs came from the mountains, hardened by their harsh environment. 
Orcs inherently possess extra health and stamina. 
This race has a long tradition of swordmasters 
Redguards place great value on honor and traditions. 
Wood Elves have a deep connection to the forest in which they live 
Wood Elves are mischievous, curious, and quick. 
Imperials are outcast and can freely choose their allegiance to the three alliances 
Imperials are a race that you must acquire additionally
Also from a stats perspective, the ESO races are different. Some are better suited as Nightblades, while others make excellent Templars or Mages. Therefore, your choice of race also affects your gameplay.
