The online game The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, Xbox One, PS4) offers a premium membership that grants players certain bonuses. You actually have to pay for it, but for about a week you can enjoy the benefits of membership for free.
What is ESO Plus? ESO Plus is the optional premium membership of the game. When you purchase it, you receive, among other things, these benefits:
- You gain access to all DLCs, including the chapter Morrowind from last year
- You receive a craft bag to store your materials
- Your bank slots are doubled
- You earn 10% more experience points and gold
- You can dye costumes
- You receive 1500 crowns per month
Especially players who craft a lot will benefit greatly from the unlimited craft bag. The 1500 crowns are only available to paying members. For ESO Plus you usually pay 12.99 euros for 30 days.
All benefits of ESO Plus for every player
ESO Plus for everyone. To benefit from the free membership, you just need to log into the game and can start immediately. To use ESO Plus, you need to buy The Elder Scrolls Online.
Event duration: The event starts on July 10 at 4 PM and ends on July 16 at 4 PM.

Is there a catch? You do not need to provide payment information, and the subscription will not renew after the event ends. You can simply try ESO Plus.
How do I activate ESO Plus? Start the game and open the crown store. There, select the “free trial of ESO Plus” in the “showcase” category. And then you can start.
Free loot boxes
Zenimax rewards paying ESO Plus members. If you already have an ESO Plus subscription, you can snag a free crown box every day. Simply log into ESO once per time segment. A time segment runs from 4 PM one day to 3:59 PM the next day. Logging in counts as one entry, and the boxes will be available as a bundle on July 20.
Important: Logging in once counts as one entry. Even if you log in between two time segments. So if you log in at 3 PM and play until 5 PM, it only counts as one entry. To avoid this, log completely out of ESO, restart the game, and log back in.

What do the Psijik boxes contain? The crown boxes from the Psijik Vault contain particularly rare and powerful items from the legendary order that the mysterious Psijik Order has hidden from Tamriel. When opening, you have a chance to obtain one of the exotic mounts. These ethereal creatures are a real showstopper.
Are there free boxes for the free subscription as well? No, you must be a paying ESO Plus member. However, during the event, you can benefit from nearly all the perks of the premium membership for free.
These DLCs are particularly worthwhile
Travel through Tamriel. The world of Tamriel is vast and filled with mysterious places for you to explore. With the free ESO Plus subscription, the doors to nearly all game content are open to you. If you haven’t played certain DLCs yet, now is the time to dive in.

Check out the dungeons of Dragon Bones: Earlier this year, Zenimax released two new dungeons for ESO. If you have not yet purchased the DLC, it is worth a visit to both dungeons. Just for entering, you receive a collectible that you can keep even after the free membership ends.
Additionally, you can earn dungeon-specific sets or complete the challenges. With all the ESO Plus players in the game, you will also definitely find teammates for your adventure.
Dare to journey to Morrowind: The last chapter of ESO is now part of ESO Plus. If you have not been to the island of Vvardenfell and admired the exotic plants and creatures, you should not miss this sight. During the story of the DLC, you assist the god Vivec in stopping a meteor that is about to crash onto the island. The DLC includes new dungeons, a new raid, and many other PvE activities. Our author Jürgen took a look at the DLC in his Morrowind review.

Visit the Clockwork City: At the end of last year, Zenimax released a new area. In the clockwork city, you face mechanical creatures in a steampunk setting. The DLC contains new dungeons, a raid, and a new city. In the alternate dimension, even trees and creature beings are made of metal.
Dare to take a detour to Wrothgar: If you miss the icy slopes of Skyrim or have always wanted to help an Ork king, a detour to the Wrothgar area is worthwhile. The second DLC since the game’s transition to a Buy2Play title revolves around the city of Orsinium, which is to become the home for the Orks. During the story of the DLC, you unite the local Ork tribes and face a great threat.

Part of the DLC is the Maelstrom Arena. This is a game mode for single-player. In the arena, you face waves of enemies and are rewarded with strong loot.
Unleash your inner thief: If items often “just happen” to come into your possession and you rummage through NPCs’ pockets with quick fingers, you should follow the call of the Thieves Guild to Hews Flute.
When you join the guild, you learn numerous useful skills that support you in your collecting trips and make stealing easier. During the story of the DLC, you help the guild to great wealth by planning the ultimate heist.
The next DLC of ESO is already on the horizon. ESO: This is what you need to know about the new DLC Wolfhunter and Update 19.
