For The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) a new chapter is coming soon. In a livestream on March 21, 2018, the location and more details will be revealed. But what do you expect from the stream? How should it continue in ESO?
The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is set to receive a major new “chapter” each year alongside three smaller DLCs, essentially a type of addon. In 2017, Zenimax made a good start with the nostalgic Morrowind.
The Morrowind chapter was well received especially by veterans of the Elder Scrolls series and perfectly conveyed the atmosphere and mood of the alien island of Vvardenfell. Additionally, there were new elements for content-hungry players with the new Warden class, PvP battlegrounds, and the new raid.
But what is on the agenda this time?
What could come as the next chapter?
The location of the new chapter is still officially secret, but the hints are more than clear. Data miners have long found some files in the game files that clearly point to specific locations and features.
- The location is said to be the Summerset Isles, the homeland of the High Elves
- The mysterious order of the Psijic Mystics will be involved. A new class or at least a new skill line is suspected if you join the order
- The Sload, disgusting slug-like creatures, are finally supposed to appear. So far, only one specimen of this race has been seen in the Elder Scrolls game “Redguard”.
- The Daedric Prince Mephala is rumored to play a role, as she is part of the “Daedric Triad” that has featured in past ESO DLCs.
- There are solid hints for the feature of spell crafting. This will allow you to create your own spells. Spell crafting has been mentioned repeatedly for years and is still said to be in planning.
The new chapter – New shores instead of nostalgia?
If the Summerset Isles indeed become the new location of the chapter, it will introduce a new region that has hardly been seen in previous Elder Scrolls games. After all, the xenophobic High Elves strongly ensure that no non-elves roam their islands.
