The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online will receive the new chapter in June 2021 Blackwood. In the new area of the Dark Forest, there is much to discover again. Among them are also some sky shards. MeinMMO tells you where to find them.
What are sky shards? Sky shards are brightly glowing crystals scattered throughout the Tamriel map. They can be seen from a distance by the white-blue beam that reaches up into the sky.
Sky shards can be collected by players. Three collected sky shards give the player one skill point each. Therefore, it is always worthwhile to look out for the glowing stones. They can be found both in dungeons and outdoors.
How to get all sky shards in Dark Forest (Blackwood)
As in the already known areas of Tamriel, there are also some sky shards to discover in Dark Forest. In total, there are 18 sky shards, 10 in the open and 8 in dungeons. That adds up to 6 skill points.
Sky shards in the open:
Sky shard 1 – South of the Wayshrine of Grenzburg
Travel to the Wayshrine of Grenzburg and head south. You will find the sky shard near an Ayleid structure.
Sky shard 2 – Between the Citadel of Redmane and the Wayshrine of the Dungeon Vulpinaz
If you travel to the Wayshrine of the Dungeon Vulpinaz, you need to go southwest to find the sky shard. It is located near the water.
Sky shard 3 – East of the Blight
You can reach this sky shard via the Wayshrine of Bloodstream. From there, you need to travel a good distance west until you reach the Ayleid ruin named “Blight”. The sky shard is located east of the ruin.
Sky shard 4 – East of the World Boss: The Pond of the Old Death Toad / Northeast of Hutan-Tzel
Travel to the Wayshrine of Hutan-Tzel and head northeast. Pass the Pond of the Old Death Toad (World Boss) and cross the water there. The sky shard is located right next to a large tree.
Sky shard 5 – North of Gideon
Travel to the Wayshrine of Gideon and follow the path north. The sky shard is located next to a chapel ruin.
Sky shard 6 – West of the Ayleid Well next to Gideon on a tiny island
Travel to the Wayshrine of Gideon and move southwest. Behind an Ayleid Well is a pond. In the middle of the pond, there is a small island where you can find the sky shard.

Sky shard 7 – North of the Tide Cave / West of the Wayshrine of the Citadel Blueblood
To the west of the Wayshrine of the Citadel Blueblood is an Ayleid Well. A little further west and north of the Tide Cave is this sky shard.
Sky shard 8 – East of Xi-Tsei (Dungeon)
Travel to the Wayshrine of Steinod and head northwest. Next to the dungeon Xi-Tsei, you will find the sky shard.
Sky shard 9 – West of Vunalk (Dungeon)
Head from the Wayshrine of Vunalk towards the dungeon of the same name. Before you cross the stone bridge, orient to the right. You will need to jump to a ledge to gather the sky shard.
Sky shard 10 – West of Felshain (Trial)
This sky shard is located near the entrance of Felshain (Trial). First, travel to the Wayshrine of Steinod and head Southeast from there.

Sky shard 11 – In the Deep Stream Caverns
The Deep Stream Caverns are located north of Leyawiin.
Sky shard 12 – In the dungeon Arpenia
The dungeon Arpenia is located west of the Citadel Redmane.
Sky shard 13 – In the Bloodstream Cave
The Bloodstream Cave is located east of the Ayleid ruin Blight.
Sky shard 14 – In the Dungeon Porcixid
The Dungeon Porcixid is located east of the city of Gideon. Follow the marked path in the pictures:

Sky shard 15 – In the dungeon Vunalk
The dungeon Vunalk is located northeast of Xeemhoks Lagoon, a World Boss. You reach the dungeon via the Wayshrine of Vunalk. After entering the dungeon, follow any path until you reach the sky shard. The last section is accessible through a cave entrance. But be careful! Right next door is a similarly looking entrance that is not accessible.

Sky shard 16 – In the dungeon Xi-Tsei west of the Wayshrine of Steinod
The sky shard in the dungeon Xi-Tsei is more complicated to find than it seems at first. You need to choose a specific path to reach the sky shard. After entering the dungeon, stay left. On your right side, you will soon see a bridge. Cross it and then turn right. At the end of the path, there is a passage you must enter.
A new level of the dungeon opens up. At the next opportunity, you need to take the path on your right. Also, at the next branching, take the path on the right side. Now you can pass through another door. After that, stay left, and you can quickly see the sky shard.

Sky shard 17 – Open Dungeon Zenithar’s Abbey
The open dungeon Zenithar’s Abbey can be found in the north of Dark Forest. It is located west of the Wayshrine of the Citadel Redmane.

Sky shard 18 – Open Dungeon “The Quiet Halls”
Between the middle and south of Dark Forest, you will find the Quiet Halls. They are located south of the city of Gideon.

In the open dungeons, you will not only find one sky shard each but also always receive a whole skill point for the so-called group challenge. This is one of the bosses found in the respective dungeon. But be prepared, it won’t be a piece of cake.
