The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One) has a heart for PvP fans. In the event “Midyear Mayhem” there are double bonuses and additional rewards for PvP lovers in Cyrodiil and the Imperial City. This makes slaying other players truly worthwhile.
Mayhem in Summer: Every year in summer, the event “Midyear Mayhem” takes place in The Elder Scrolls Online. It aims to rekindle open PvP in the Imperial City and Cyrodiil. During this time, you can earn double points and additional rewards, including a special laurel wreath.
This is how the big PvP event works
When does it take place? Midyear Mayhem starts on July 26, 2018, at 4:00 PM. The event ends again on August 6, 2018, at 4:00 PM our time.
How can I participate? Visit the Crown Shop in-game and get a ticket called “Details on Midyear Mayhem,” which you can then use immediately. Then travel to your faction outpost in Cyrodiil and talk to the priestess Maera. She will give you a quest relevant to the event. Complete this task, and you will receive a scroll.
More points and extra PvP loot in the event
What can you earn? If you use the scroll from the event quest (or have another one from last year), you can earn double points in open PvP in the Alliance War. Additionally, there are two extra PvP campaigns for the event, so you will definitely get a chance. Regular PvP quests will also give you special chests as bonus loot, which can contain special items – including Akaviri-style items.
Achievements for Laurels: Additionally, there is a special item that you only receive if you complete seven PvP achievements during the event. This is the “Midyear Laurel Wreath,” a trophy that you can only get during Midyear Mayhem. However, for these achievements, you will also need the DLC “Imperial City,” as you are expected to complete tasks in the Imperial City.
