With “Firesong”, the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) will soon receive a new DLC. In it, you can finally face a boss you have been waiting for since many updates. Additionally, a new story awaits you on an island full of druids.
The storyline “Legacy of the Bretons” has been ongoing throughout the year and will conclude with the DLC Firesong. The DLC Ascending Tide began the story in early 2022, followed by the High Isle expansion and the DLC Lost Depths.
The storyline highlights the Breton people, whom you can play as in ESO, and gives them more background. The focus is on political intrigue. Those who own the previous DLCs can now look forward to finally facing the Ascendant Lord.
By owning the previous DLCs, you unlock bonus quests that conclude the story. However, Firesong introduces an entirely new story in ESO.
So don’t worry: Even if you do not own Ascending Tide, you can still play Firesong without any problem. The story on the island stands alone and offers a comprehensive gaming experience for casual players and newcomers alike.

Explore an island with a druidic people
What content does Firesong include? The update takes you to the island of Galen, which you can explore. It belongs to the 4 islands of the Systren archipelago in the northwest of High Isle. There, you will encounter druids and learn their story.
On the island, you will discover various biomes: forests, jungles, and rivers filled with lava. You will encounter forest spirits and other new creatures. You will also face new world bosses.
The developers promise a lore with numerous challenges on the island of Galen. In addition to the main story, there should be quests that tell a standalone story.
Moreover, you can obtain new collectible cards and use the Druid King Patron to unleash powerful combos when playing cards. You unlock parts of the deck as you engage in activities on the island of Galen. With High Isle, the card game “Tales of Tribute” was introduced to the game, so you will need the expansion to play it.
The action RPG Genshin Impact is also rumored to be getting a card game mode soon.
When does the update release? On PC, you can download and play Firesong starting November 1st. If you play ESO on console, you will have to wait a bit longer, as the DLC will only be released on November 15th.
