In the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), the new DLC Stonethorn will be released at the end of August. The developers at Bethesda are now preparing with a dark trailer for the upcoming dungeons.
What kind of DLC is this? The new DLC Stonethorn will be available on August 24 for PC and Stadia, and on September 1 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Stonethorn brings two new dungeons to the game:
- The Stone Garden, located in the dark Blackreach
- Castle Dorn, a fortress of the vampire lord Dorn and her dark army
In recent weeks, details about the fortress and the rewards of the dungeon have been released. It’s all about a major vampire conspiracy that threatens Skyrim and even all of Tamriel.
What’s new? During QuakeCon, a new trailer for the DLC was released. It contains some interesting details, including a possible appearance of Gwendis from House Ravenwatch.
However, particularly interesting is a special mechanic surrounding werewolves, which is also noticeable.

What does the trailer show about the werewolves? In the video, at minute 1:08, you can see how the attacking werewolf looks particularly large and strong, almost reminiscent of werebears from The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall.
This is a special mechanic that allows you to become werewolf behemoths, as reddit user zbzszzzt123 informs.
Through this special mechanic, you will gain access to 5 special abilities and an ultimate attack. However, all of this content is unique and designed solely for the dungeon. You cannot use them outside.
What else does the trailer show? Both dungeons will be dark. While in the Stone Garden the mad alchemist Arkasis is causing trouble, in Castle Dorn you will encounter the vampire lady Dorn.
While you mainly meet vampires in Castle Dorn, Arkasis sends huge stone monsters after you. The transformed werewolf also fights against such a monster.
