The DLC expansion Wrathstone expands The Elder Scrolls Online with two new dungeons. One of the two dungeons leads Elder Scrolls players to a familiar location.
What is Wrathstone? Wrathstone is a dungeon DLC that provides players with new content. The two included dungeons are connected by an overarching story. The dungeons will feature new loot and new bosses. Additionally, Update 21 will be released simultaneously, which is free for everyone. Update 21 includes changes to the racial abilities.
A dungeon from Oblivion
One of the two dungeons from Wrathstone is called “The Depths of Malatar.” Players who have played The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion may be familiar with the dungeon. Even in Oblivion, brave adventurers could explore the Ayleid ruin Malatar. As part of the DLC Knights of the Nine, players had to fight an ancient Ayleid king in Malatar.
What is Malatar? The dungeon is a place full of secrets. It is located directly beneath the Fort Mistwatch. The fort was even built specifically to explore Malatar. However, the expedition team encountered a sinister power. The knowledge of the expedition was lost.
Help the Mages Guild recover an artifact
Once again, players must step in to reveal the secrets of the dungeon. The scholar Tharayya has rediscovered the entrance to Malatar, and together with her and the spirit of her husband, you explore the dungeon.
You are the prey: One of the bosses in the dungeon is a powerful daedric beast that hunts players in a warehouse-like area of the dungeon. Players must familiarize themselves with the environment and work together to defeat the foe.
But besides daedric beasts, you will also encounter Imperial soldiers kept alive by Meridia and an ancient Ayleid king.
New gear awaits brave adventurers
In Malatar, you have the chance to obtain three new equipment sets. You will need to find one light, one medium, and one heavy set. The “Auroran Thunder” set grants you the ability to unleash a lightning cone from your chest, which periodically damages enemies.
Dress as a follower of Meridia: In addition, there is a new appearance again.
Previously, players had to complete specific achievements related to the dungeon. But with Wrathstone, developer Zenimax simplifies access to the new appearance. You only need to complete the veteran version once to enjoy the appearance.
