In The Elder Scrolls Online, there is currently a new event where all players must work together to earn cool rewards. The focus is on the antiquities system, resources, and daily quests.
What kind of event is this? It is called “Skyshard’s Forgotten Treasures” and runs from September 23 at 4:00 PM to October 5, also at 4:00 PM.
The goal of the event is for all players worldwide and on all platforms to complete tasks together to unlock special rewards. ESO provides a website where progress can be tracked.
What needs to be done for the event? To advance the event, you must use the antiquities system introduced with Greymoor and excavate treasures across Tamriel.
By doing so, you can earn unique rewards, including a special house that can only be unlocked during the event.
In addition, there are extra rewards for collecting resources and completing daily and weekly quests in western Skyrim.
Special House and the First Houseguest
What exactly are the rewards? The rewards for the event are divided into different contents:
- During the event, you will receive double loot from resource nodes in western Skyrim (excluding fishing spots or monster drops)
- For each first daily quest in western Skyrim, there is a curved chest with loot from the Grey Company as a bonus.
- For each additional daily quest or completion of dungeons, storm events, and other content, you can earn regular chests with loot from the Grey Company.
The chests contain crafting materials, valuable items for trading, item sets from regions, furnishing plans, treasure maps, and much more. You can find the exact list on the official website.
There are also three event tickets that you can earn through daily quests in Skyrim or weekly quests for Kynes Aegis. With these tickets, you can obtain:
- All four Indrik feathers (for the Indrik, a special deer mount)
- Mossheart berries of Bloom, Sprout, Growth, and Maturity
- Group repair materials
- Seedling-Indrik as a companion
- Style page from Sovngarde (bound to your character upon purchase)
What are the big rewards? If all players together dig up enough antiquities, the following items will be available in the shop for 0 crowns each:
- The Inner Terror’s Paint (at 33%)
- The Orchidfall Kit as a companion (at 66%)
- The Mountain Gallery of the Antiquarian, a very special house, along with the first houseguest: the Antiquarian Phedre (at 100%)
However, only owners of Greymoor can access the rewards. Those who do not own the expansion cannot participate in the event and, accordingly, cannot earn rewards.
What is a houseguest? Houseguests are new collectibles that you can add to your home as you wish. Each houseguest has a unique appearance and dialogue. You can interact with the NPCs, making your home feel more alive.
The first guest, Antiquarian Phedre, can be earned for free. New guests are also expected to appear in the Crown Store in the future.
