The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) is getting a big content update with Update 17 and the Dagon Bones DLC. Find out here what is coming in the new update.
Four times a year, The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) offers you big content packages. The first of these DLCs in 2018 is called “Dragon Bones” and revolves around two thrillingly staged dungeons. In addition, there is the free Update 17 with stylish outfits, a revamped combat system, and better level-ups.
In this overview article, we have listed all the important posts related to the Dragon Bones DLC and Update 17 for you.
What is Dragon Bones about?
With Dragon Bones, two new dungeons expand the world of ESO. They are interconnected and tell a shared story. These include:
In the Halls of the Dwemer, the first dungeon, it is about an ancient mine of the Dwemer. They were driven out centuries ago by a dragon named Thurvokun. However, that creature is also dead now, and its bones lie in the depths of the Halls of the Dwemer. Recently, a necromancer cult has also taken up residence there, intending to resurrect the dragon’s remains.
Fun Fact: The Halls of the Dwemer were already featured 24 years ago in the very first Elder Scrolls game “Arena”.
The second dungeon is the “Summit of the Scalebinder”. It revolves around the eponymous Scalebinder. She was once a dragon priestess who served Thurvokun. She was resurrected but her dragon was dead. Therefore, she sought the Daedric Prince of Plagues as her new patron and built a cult around pestilence.
Like all DLCs, you have to pay extra for Dragon Bones. Anyone with a subscription for The Elder Scrolls Online can play it for free during the subscription period.
What is included in Update 17?
In addition to the paid Dragon Bones DLC, the regular and free Update 17 for ESO is coming. It includes several long-awaited innovations in the game.
