From what time can you play Scribes of Fate (Update 37)? The time is not yet known, but you can check the server status at any time here (via ESO Server Status).
Do you need ESO+ for the DLC Scribes of Fate? Yes. To run the new DLC dungeons, you need ESO+. Alternatively, it is also possible to purchase the DLC for crowns in the shop. However, we recommend the ESO+ option as it has additional benefits for you. However, the new features of the base game, i.e. Update 37, are free for all players.

Two new dungeons in Scribes of Fate
What are the biggest innovations through Scribes of Fate? With the new update, two new dungeons are appearing, which provide a glimpse into the storyline of the upcoming chapter Necrom and start the narrative “Shadows over Morrowind”.
The new dungeon “Bal Sunnar”
You can find this dungeon in the east of Stonefalls.
What sets are available here?
- Binding of the Rite Master (light)
- Nix-Hound Howls (medium)
- Telvanni Executioner (heavy)
- Roksa the Twisted (Monster Set)
The new dungeon “Hall of the Scribes”
You can find this dungeon in the south of Rift.
What sets are available here?
- Embers of the Rune Carver (light)
- Apocryphal Inspiration (medium)
- Abysmal Armoring (heavy)
- Ozezan the Inferno (Monster Set)
Read-aloud function for better accessibility
With the next update, you can have a large part of the menu read aloud. You can also choose whether you want a male or female voice. You can change both the speed and volume.
This way, ESO takes another step towards accessibility. But even so, it can be quite nice from time to time to just have some things read aloud instead of struggling through the menu yourself.
Hide shoulder protection
Until now, you only knew the “Free Sight” function, with which you can hide your headgear. You can find it in your collection under the Appearance → Headgear. However, to hide your shoulders as well, you must stand at a costume table.
Otherwise, the function is the same as the familiar hiding of the headgear.
Improvements for housing
For housing, there are several small adjustments to make it a bit more comfortable for you:
- Additional filters for the search – You can now see if the furnishing items are in your bank, in your inventory, a storage chest, or your collection. You can also filter the items based on whether they are bound or unbound.
- Resetting the training dummies – You will soon be able to reset your training dummies even while in combat.
- A better overview of who is visiting your home. There will soon be real-time notifications that inform you whether a player has entered or left your house. You can also kick players out if they misbehave.
- More detailed view when purchasing a house – You can now see exactly which furnishing items are included when purchasing a furnished home.
The new prologue quest to “Necrom”
The prologue quest for the new chapter will be available for free to all players in the Crown Store. You can conveniently find this quest named “Eye of Fate” in the showcase or under the “Quests” tab in the Crown Store.
