If you want to farm experience points in Escape from Tarkov, for example, to unlock the flea market, it can take quite a while. However, the Twitch streamer and YouTuber Pestily reveals two farming methods for beginners and veterans.
Where do the methods come from? The Australian became number 1 on Twitch overnight in early 2020 – thanks to Escape from Tarkov. Pestily mainly creates content about the hardcore loot shooter.
Since the boom of Escape from Tarkov on Twitch, he has made a name for himself in the community and is considered a recognized expert for the game.
What are these methods? Pestily presented two types in a video to quickly or easily reach level 10 in Escape from Tarkov. Both approaches use the Factory map to farm there. It is the smallest map in Escape from Tarkov.
The fast method is aimed at experienced players who need to level from the beginning. The easy method is intended for new players who are taking their first steps.
Quickly reach level 10 with the Factory map & unlock the flea market
Why should I farm EXP? Since the Patch 0.12.4, which caused a lot of discontent in the community, you need a higher level to unlock the flea market. The update raised the level requirement from 5 to 15, but the developers had to lower it back down to 10 due to much criticism.
With the flea market (engl. flea market), you can buy and sell weapons and equipment, making it easier to supply yourself to better survive in the tough shooter. It is considered an important feature by many players.
For levels 1-10, you need a total of 42,048 experience points.
The fast method
With the fast method, you simply head to the Factory map and kill everything that comes in your way. This includes both player characters and NPC scavengers.
In total, there should be five other players and “about 10-20 scavengers” to be found on the map. If you kill them all, you can roughly get 10,000-15,000 experience points in the available 20 minutes.
The downside: You need a relatively good starting gear and a high level of skill, as it is not easy to consistently secure all the kills.
In a group, it is a bit easier, but you also get less EXP. Depending on group size and loading times, you should need about two to four hours to reach level 10.
The easy method
With the easy method, you also visit the Factory, but you collect certain items here. You ignore all enemies and first collect a “Module-3M Chest Armor”. Visit one of three locations where it is best found:
- the office with the safe
- the scaffolding above the Factory’s passage
- the large container directly under the overpass
The goal is to complete the “Supplier” quest from Skier, which rewards you with 3,300 experience points. Pestily advises completing further quests afterward. According to him, the best quests are:
- Supplier – Level-5 quest from Skier (3,300 EXP)
- Debut – Level-1 quest from Prapor (600 EXP)
- The Extortionist – Level-7 quest from Skier (3,200 EXP)
- Checking – Level-2 quest from Prapor (800 EXP)
- Shootout Picnic – Level-3 quest from Prapor (2,000 EXP)
- Stirrup – Level-8 quest from Skier (4,700 EXP)
As you must safely escape from the map with this method, you should watch out for campers waiting to shoot you at the exit. This can occur frequently in Escape from Tarkov. Keep a sharp eye and avoid players.
Which method should I choose?
In general, you should only choose the “fast” method if you are sure that you can get the kills and that your gear is good enough. Also, it should not set you back too much to lose the gear should you die. Here we present good and affordable weapon loadouts for raids.
