The upcoming MMO shooter Escape from Tarkov is increasingly impressive with the details that the developers put into the game.

Especially in the area of animations, the developers place a lot of value on making them as realistic as possible. This is evident, for example, in the fact that there are not just one animation for kneeling and lying down, but these are divided into several stages. You can easily crouch, go to your knees, go even lower and then lie down. This is not only for aesthetic reasons but also tactical. Cover plays an important role that you can exploit in various ways.
Animations for almost everything
The team is also proud that there are different reloading animations for each weapon. Also interesting is that the character holds the weapon differently when, for example, standing in front of a wall. The weapon doesn’t protrude into the wall like in other games. The character either raises it or lowers it or positions it, which looks significantly more realistic. The speed at which your hero runs can also be adjusted continuously using the mouse wheel. This applies to all directions, even when running sideways or backwards.
As mentioned in an earlier article, great care is taken even with seemingly unimportant animations to ensure that they look good or are displayed at all. While in other games you simply click on a door and it opens, the character in Escape from Tarkov actually reaches for the handle with their hand, presses it down, and pushes the door open. All of this can be viewed in a new video that summarizes this and showcases the excellent animations of the MMO.
