Battlestate Games have launched the extended Alpha of the shooter MMO Escape from Tarkov. A 20-minute gameplay video also shows you new scenes from the game.
The extensive video shows you well how the shooter plays. What is shown already gives the impression of a game and no longer that of a tech alpha, despite the alpha status. In the approximately 20-minute scene, the player sneaks through an abandoned factory where some enemies are holed up. Sneaking is excellently integrated into the game and is effective, as can be seen in some scenes.
A quite round game
Equally well visible in the video is the interaction with the world. The player searches corpses, opens doors, rummages through cabinets, and modifies his weapon with items found there. As the video shows, finding loot is always something special. Because you are happy about every useful item.
Loot plays an important role in Escape from Tarkov. It is also visible the wilderness at night, where you should ideally only be out with night vision goggles. Because it is very dark and enemies are very hard to spot.
Extended Alpha has begun
Anyone interested in Escape from Tarkov will get a pretty good insight into the current version of the shooter MMO through the video. And if you get the urge to participate yourself, there is now the opportunity to snag a spot in the extended Alpha. It started Thursday last week.
To do this, you buy one of the pre-order packages Prepare For Escape or Left Behind. Among the owners of these packages, the developers will select new testers who will be allowed to participate.
In the extended Alpha, testers can explore the new raid area “Wald” and fight enemies there, which will not be easy due to the dense vegetation. Additionally, weapons can now break and need to be repaired. You can create groups and go on raids. The physics system has also been improved, as well as performance and some bugs have been fixed.
