The EPOS B20 features a robust design and easy handling
What the streaming microphone offers: The B20 is made of an aluminum housing and has a sleek, understated black finish.
Additionally, EPOS relies on a plug-and-use design. This means that you can use the device immediately once it is connected to your PC or console. Furthermore, switches and connections are located directly on the microphone:
- On the microphone, you will find buttons for volume, gain, and mute. LEDs indicate whether you are muted or audible.
- The B20 also features a headphone jack, allowing you to hear your voice directly if you wish.
On the Windows PC, you can also use the “EPOS Gaming Suite”. With this software, you can adjust fine settings like your voice volume or noise filter.
The microphone comes with a table stand, so you can set it up directly on your desk. Alternatively, a thread for an articulated arm is also included. This means you can hang the microphone with a mount over the desk.

Initial testers praise the high voice quality and processing of the microphone
The testers from VG247 have already been able to test the microphone (via vg247.com). They praise the simple and elegant design as well as the ease of use. The software is easy to use, and you can adjust the device to your needs. The device also offers good audio quality.
Testers criticize primarily the noise sensitivity of the device. Sounds that are directly near the microphone can be strongly perceived, which can be distracting.
James Smythe from MightyGadget was also able to test the microphone (via mightygadget.co.uk). The tester praises the good workmanship and especially the high voice quality of the microphone. He is unsure about the effectiveness of some voice enhancements in the software but finds it good that these features are available. The microphone is suitable for various tasks like streaming or gaming due to its multiple capabilities.
There is criticism of the price of around 200 Euros, which is above the competition. The Blue Yeti X can be had for about 20 Euros less.
