As reported by Massively, another milestone has been reached in Entropia Universe. The MMORPG promotes its “real money trading.” A special weapon fetched prices that might leave players of other MMOs speechless.
In 2005, the rifle “Dub & McCormick Terminator” was awarded as a prize for a community video contest. Since then, the weapon has changed hands several times and has continually increased in price. The most recent owner paid $51,796 for it this summer. That is 47,207 Euros at today’s exchange rate.
Just a week ago, Massively reported that you can now directly buy “invisible clothing” for $5,000 in Entropia Universe. In Entropia Universe, real-money trading, often frowned upon in many other MMORPGs, is permitted, and it has exchange rates of 1:1.
