A player of the MMORPG Entropia Universe had a stroke of luck in misfortune. Due to a wrong click, she lost in-game currency worth around $10,000. However, a teammate returned everything to her.
A wrong click can have terrible consequences in an MMORPG. For Entropia player Mary Jane, it wasn’t just a mount or a great armor that was lost; she accidentally clicked in an in-game auction and lost currency worth approximately 10,000 US dollars.
In Entropia, the in-game currency has a real cash value that can be withdrawn. Therefore, this loss was particularly painful for the player.

Through the official Planet Calypso forums of the MMORPG, she then made a plea for help. She only wanted to offer a certificate for the auction, but accidentally clicked and sold everything. The player Pitbull, who made a bargain and won the auction, then contacted the player and returned the certificates to her.
Mary Jane explains that she is aware of the generosity. It was actually her fault, and she had no right to a refund. However, Pitbull proved to be a true gentleman, and with the help of a mediator, the matter was resolved quickly. Of course, Mary Jane gave Pitbull a gift for his generosity. However, she does not want to reveal what it is; it’s something personal that she hopes the player will appreciate.
Complaints from Resentful Players
However, this action led to some criticism. Angry players demanded that the developer studio should reverse the return. In other such incidents, no one intervened.
Pitbull then explained that it was his sole decision and that he was not forced into anything. Why Pitbull’s account was suspended during the investigation is unclear. Players are now demanding that the developer studio MindArk establishes guidelines for future cases of this kind that everyone must adhere to.
