Enlisted will present World War II to you in an online shooter like you may have never experienced before – and it’s even playable soon on Xbox One.
Chaotic and Brutal
Realistic yet accessible. Enlisted aims to show you as realistic battles as possible. The developers explain that many online shooters feel more like a sporting match, which has nothing to do with a battle in a war. And that’s exactly where the team behind Enlisted wants to make a difference.
You will experience chaotic fights where you might lose track. Among the hundreds of players, there are also AI characters to ensure even more movement on the battlefields. The battles in Enlisted are supposed to feel chaotic and brutal.
For the developers, realism does not mean that it takes an eternity to prepare for the first battle. The battles themselves should come across as intense. Players should interact much more with team members, and the weapons will also feel significantly more realistic than in other shooters. The fights will be so intense that hundreds of soldiers will fall during the first attack. You will play through several campaigns from World War II.
Enlisted is set to come to Xbox One in 2018
Playable soon in Xbox Game Preview Program. While the developers have not announced a specific date yet, Enlisted will be playable on Xbox One via the Game Preview program later in 2018. The following content will be available in the version:
- Invasion – These battles with asymmetrical gameplay present you with various tasks that the two teams must complete. This includes capturing and holding an area while the other team attempts to launch an invasion. Each player also controls AI soldiers who obey commands. If your character dies, you will take on the role of another soldier from your group.
- Offensive – In this mode, you build fortifications, use vehicles, and deploy heavy artillery. The maps are larger than those in Invasion.
- Urban Combat – In this mode, several players fight in an urban scenario.
- Battle Royale – This mode features typical team battle royale where each of the two teams represents one of the nations that fought in World War II. In this mode, you also use heavy vehicles like tanks.
If you don’t want to play on Xbox One, you can also sign up on the website for the PC alpha. When this starts is still uncertain. The online shooter is currently in the pre-alpha phase.
