Engineers had to wait long in World of Warcraft, but they finally get their exclusive auction house back in the new capital, Boralus or Dazar’alor.
With Battle for Azeroth, Blizzard granted very few useful bonuses to professions. Many features that were standard in previous expansions were missing in the latest add-on of World of Warcraft. One of those conveniences returns with Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance – exclusively for engineers.
A standard is missing for “Ingis”: Even in Mists of Pandaria and Legion, an auctioneer just for engineers was the standard. Consequently, there was great disappointment among engineers when there was no dedicated auction house in Battle for Azeroth and the other gameplay features were rather lackluster.
With Patch 8.1, Blizzard aims to rectify this by introducing the NPC Copperbolt Mechazang, who will again serve as an auctioneer.
Where can you find the auctioneer? As expected, you can find Copperbolt Mechazang next to the profession teacher for engineering, where you can also find the respective scrapper from which you can farm Expulsom.

This is what it is about: Normally, there is no auction house in the capitals of a WoW expansion. Players have to return to the “old” capital to participate in auctions. The “exclusive” auctioneer is a special service for engineers.
What alternatives are there? If you are not an engineer, you don’t have to walk far for an auction house. Both in Boralus (Alliance) and in Dazar’Alor (Horde), there are portals to the capitals (Stormwind and Orgrimmar). Both locations also have a return portal, so using the hearthstone is unnecessary.
Additionally, you can also spend 5 million gold for a mount that comes with its own auctioneer. Of course, it is cheaper to just ask if someone with the mount could set it up for a moment.
