The Early Access phase of the post-apocalyptic MMORPG The Skies is in full swing and the developers continue to work on the game.
Feedback from participants in the Early Access phase is being collected, which will then be implemented in updates. Currently, a Clan Update is being prepared, which will introduce Clan Levels, maximum member counts, and a ranking system.
Many optimizations and adjustments
The fact that it is still a rather early phase of the game is evident from the recent complete wipe of all players’ inventories. Additionally, there were improvements and changes to the skills. A general ranking system has been added, which also represents the achievements of each hero. Improvements to the network code are also among the changes, as well as new quests and the introduction of daily missions. Some optimizations to weapons, balancing, and the game’s PvP have also been made.
This week, they want to open the ongoing alpha to all players, including those not on Steam. This way, they hope to receive even more feedback to further improve and optimize the game. The plans for a beta for PC at the end of the year still stand. A beta for the console versions, however, is planned for early next year.
Survival in the End Times
The Skies places you in a post-apocalyptic world where you must try to survive. The survival aspect is therefore an important element of the online game. In addition, you will team up with other players to found settlements and explore the wasteland. In doing so, you will also encounter monsters and hostile players. PvE and PvP are intended to be balanced.
