In Monster Hunter: World there’s a lot going on in August. In addition to the crossover event with Final Fantasy XIV, an extreme version of Behemoth and new tempered monsters are coming. These events will take place from August to September.
After the last update at the end of May, MHW players had to hold out for a long time without fresh content, but that’s over for now. For August, Capcom is promising three more monsters and two Gamma armors.
Behemoth receives an extreme version
A stronger Behemoth is coming: In the new event quest, players will be able to challenge an “extreme” version of the Behemoth, which will be harder to defeat. Since the normal fight against the Behemoth is already quite challenging, the extreme version will provide a proper challenge.
Decorative armor as a reward: Players can obtain the Dragoon armor from Final Fantasy XIV as purely decorative armor and receive a title. From the normal Behemoth quest, players will receive the Dragoon armor with stats.
This quest is time-limited: Unlike the normal Behemoth, which is available indefinitely, the event quest for the Extreme Behemoth will only be available from August 24 to September 6.
New tempered monsters – When they are coming
Theostra and Kushala Daora: In addition to the extreme Behemoth, tempered versions of Theostra and Kushala Daora will also appear in event quests. Both will have Gamma versions of their armor sets as rewards. Gamma sets are even stronger variants of the high-rank armors.
When is the tempered Teostra coming? Already next week, from August 10 to August 23.
When is the tempered Kushala Daora coming? There is no exact date for Kushala yet, but the quest is expected to be available in September.
