About 10 hours later, he responds again with the following tweet:
Translation: “We are very confident that we now have a solution for the problem. Thank you again for the video!”.
When will the problem be solved? Le Bihan did not comment on when the solution will be implemented. In response to another Twitter user’s question about the timing of the problem resolution, the developer replied:
Hopefully the next update, but we still need to confirm that. I’m sure we’ll inform you as soon as we know for sure.

The next update for Battlefield 2042 is expected at the beginning of December. DICE says it will be the largest update since launch. Have you had problems with hit registration in Battlefield 2042? And has the last update improved your experience with the game? Let us know in the comments.
Despite all the turmoil, the release of Battlefield 2042 was reportedly better than that of Battlefield V, according to DICE:
After JackFrags confirms that the video was created after the patch, Le Bihan thanks him again and announces that he will look into it more closely.

He rules out the internet connection: Not only does he have a very low ping – the match takes place against bots, so there should be no fluctuations caused by other players.
What was the goal of the video? JackFrags wanted to not only raise players’ awareness of the problem with the video. He says he hopes that the developers of Battlefield 2042 will see the video.
Since the problem is clearly identifiable and presented in a repeatable manner in the video, he hoped that the developers could recognize the cause of the problem.
With this hope, he seems to have been right. Because just a few hours after the video was put online, a developer from DICE contacted him.

How are the developers reacting? Florian Le Bihan, the lead game designer at DICE, has replied to JackFrags on Twitter. In a first tweet, he praises the test and asks if it was recorded after the latest update (via Twitter).

Despite all the turmoil, the release of Battlefield 2042 was reportedly better than that of Battlefield V, according to DICE:
Even after the first major patch, Battlefield 2042 is still struggling with some issues. YouTuber and Battlefield expert JackFrags has shown a significant annoyance in a video. His intention was to help the developers find the cause. Apparently, he succeeded.
The update from November 25, 2021, has fixed many major problems in Battlefield 2042. This includes adjustments to the overpowered hovercrafts as well as changes to the best and worst weapons.
Alongside the update, the developers also promised many more future fixes. A roadmap shows over 200 planned improvements by early December. In this roadmap, DICE also had to admit that they are aware of a specific problem but have not found a solution:
Under very rare circumstances, we see that our servers do not correctly register hit markers. Although it is difficult to reproduce (thank you to everyone who submitted clips and screenshots), we are actively working on identifying the problem and finding solutions.

JackFrags, a well-known YouTuber in the Battlefield community, documented the issue in a video. This has apparently helped to identify the problem.
Video shows issue under repeatable circumstances
What is the problem? In Battlefield 2042, it can happen that your bullets do not deal damage, even though they hit the opponent. You can even see from blood splatter that the shots hit the opponent – but he takes no damage. The hit indicator in the crosshair, which is normally shown for hits, is also missing.
This problem affects hit registration (in English: Hit Registration, often abbreviated as HitReg). Numerous games before Battlefield 2042 have had similar difficulties, including Apex Legends.
With poor registration of supposed hits, it looks clear on your screen that you have hit your opponents – however, they take no damage. Your shots seem to disappear for no reason.
JackFrags documents this poor hit registration in his video. He calls it a “pretty big problem”:
What can be seen in the video? JackFrags shows in his video how hit registration seems to sporadically not work.
In a breakthrough match against bots, he positions himself at a specific spot in the game: directly behind the pipes of a ventilation shaft at point C1 on the edge of a roof on the map Kaleidoscope. By the way, it is exactly the spot that players are currently using to unlock all attachments in one round.
From this position, he can shoot at the bots almost unopposed. Thus, he can test when and how the problem occurs. Because the position is safe and the circumstances are repeatable, he can observe the problem more closely.
What causes the problem? Although the video shows the problem in a repeatable context, JackFrags can only speculate about the causes. He suspects that it might have something to do with the number of players in a small space. He also considers the smoke effects as a potential culprit.
He rules out the internet connection: Not only does he have a very low ping – the match takes place against bots, so there should be no fluctuations caused by other players.
