Guild Wars 2 – Winterfest and Ice Dragons!
The Guild Wars series has impressed players since the days of the first Guild Wars with a magnificent Christmas event. In fact, I always remember Guild Wars as the “Christmas game” because I played the MMO for the first time in December and got to know the capital only decorated for the holidays. But even Christmas grouches will get their money’s worth with the latest episode of the Living Story in Guild Wars 2.
Fire and Ice!
The third season of the Living Story is really impressive! You have not just one dragon, not two, but a whole three dragons on your back! First, there’s the fire dragon Primordius, which veterans will have noticed from the first Guild Wars. The fire beast kept you busy in the first two episodes, but in Episode Three, its ice buddy Jormag comes into play.

Therefore, we are sent to the icy wasteland of the Shiverpeaks, where you are on the trail of further dragon secrets. And for those who wonder who the third dragon is: we now have a small dragon of our own, the offspring of the dragoness Glint, whom you might also remember from Guild Wars 1. No other MMO currently has more dragons than Guild Wars 2! Additionally, in Episode Three, you will be presented with an exciting story again and can earn new mastery skills and achievements.
Merry Winterfest
ArenaNet has not yet issued an official announcement, but since there has been a Winterday event every year so far, it is more than likely that the big Winterfest in Tyria will be celebrated again this year. The city of Lion’s Arch will be festively decorated and shines in contemplative white. There will surely be plenty of holiday events again. For instance, the hunt for gifts, which can contain very valuable resources. Frustration-resistant players can try their hand at the jumping puzzle “Winter Wonderland,” and for PvP fans, there will be a snowball fight mode.
Particularly cool was also every year the instance “Toypocalypse.” In it, you are sent to an Asura toy factory where the toys completely go haywire and attack us. Anyone who has always wanted to battle bloodthirsty stuffed animals, sassy princess dolls, and trigger-happy toy soldiers should not miss Winterday.
With the Winterfest and the third episode of the third season of the living story, the developers at ArenaNet have created two good reasons to pay another visit to the online RPG.
On the next page, we continue, this time with a game that will have a complete reboot in December.
