Elite Lord of Alliance (ELOA) – the Free2Play MMORPG is supposed to be revived again – hardly ever closed.
“Those who are said to be dead live longer” does not apply here. It is more like “If you die earlier, you will also come back sooner.”
Elite Lord of Alliance was only a few months old when the West Publisher Webzen already said: No, unfortunately not. Unfortunately not at all. The game has too few players, we have to shut it down. Around the same time, the promising ASTA (“The Korean WoW”) by Webzen was also buried. It had even a shorter life.

Some grumpy fans already predicted: This is your business model. You bring MMORPGs from Asia, quickly add new content, cash in on the players, shut the games down quickly, and bring out the next one.
It is harsh criticism – whether one shares it is up to everyone themselves. Surely bitterness plays a role as well. Fact is: ELOA had an unusually short life in the West. It officially came out on November 24, 2015 – by September 2016 it was already over.

Zombie trend does not stop at MMORPGs either
But someone believes in the project and that there is still money to be made. Publisher Game & Game gives the game another chance and at least brings it to market in North America and South America. They regret that they cannot yet offer service to fans on other continents – but promise to work on it.
The first closed beta test starts tomorrow, November 13. There will also be an open beta at some point. Those who missed ELOA can rejoice: Their prayers have been heard. Here is the official website of the “new” ELOA.
