In 2018, The Elder Scrolls Online will receive two new DLCs, Wolfhunter and Murkmire, taking you to the new zone Murkmire and into two new werewolf dungeons. Perhaps you will even encounter the Daedric Prince Hircine in Wolfhunter. All about the 2 DLCs is available here.
ESO has a strict content plan to regularly deliver new content for the MMORPG. Zenimax has announced the last two DLCs for this year, which we can expect in the second half of 2018. DLCs are free for ESO Plus members.
New Area: Murkmire
We’re finally heading to Murkmire! Zenimax announced a new adventure zone back in 2016 that was supposed to offer endgame content to players. At that time, Kargstein was one of the few endgame PvE gameplay elements. The concept for the DLC “Murkmire” has been circulating through the studios of Zenimax for a few years. Fans are excited that they will travel to Murkmire this year.
In the DLC, you will visit the home of the Argonians, Swamp, and must earn the trust of reclusive Argonian tribes. Swamp is characterized by the Xanmeer ruins and untamed wilderness. During the DLC, you will explore these ruins and uncover a great secret of the Hists.
What is the Hist? Hists are trees with humanoid intelligence that are worshiped by the Argonians. The resin of these trees, Hist sap, grants superhuman physical powers but can also cause hallucinations.
Murkmire expands Tamriel with new leaders in the open world, new dungeons, and an arena for groups with its own leaderboard.
Price: 2000 to 3000 crowns, depending on how extensive the DLC is. Smaller DLCs, like Dark Brotherhood or Thieves Guild, cost 2000 crowns, while the large DLC Orsinium cost 3000 crowns. The € price is therefore between 15 and 21 euros.
When will it be released? Murkmire is expected to be released at the end of 2018. Murkmire is likely planned for Q4 2018: So in November or December of this year.
Roam with the Werewolves in the Wolfhunter DLC
Follow Hircine’s call. Fans of the fluffy werewolves can be excited. Two upcoming dungeons will thematically deal with Hircine’s creatures. In the dungeons, players will learn more about the werewolf curse and face beings afflicted by lycanthropy.
The dungeons Moon Hunter’s Lodge and March of Sacrifice will differ thematically and, as always, bring new set items and mask sets to Tamriel.
Price: So far, all dungeon DLCs have cost 1500 crowns. Wolfhunter will likely cost the same. 1500 crowns equates to €12.99.
When will it be released? The DLC is expected to be released in Q3 2018, between July 1st and September 30th.
