The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online currently has a special campaign running that will be helpful for the future of the game. It will last a total of one week and offers all players a fair chance under special rules.
What kind of campaign is this? From March 24 to March 31, 2025, the Champion Test is active in the Vengeance Campaign. It is a week-long test for all players playing on PC or Mac. The campaign is a simplified form of the Cyrodiil campaign with special rules for players.
The test helps the developers determine which adjustments need to be made to the game to improve performance and efficiency. Especially in PvP battles. During this test, all other Cyrodiil campaigns are disabled.
In the trailer, you will see everything important about the 44th update of ESO:
Special rules for better performance
The special rules: All players whose level is between 10 and 50 can participate in the test. Level does not play a major role. Only standardized builds with predetermined skills and items can be selected.
The class cannot be changed, and access to the bank or merchants is also not possible. Additionally, the Champion system is disabled, and there are no quests.
All of this is intended to create uniform rules for the test to accurately determine where there is still room for improvement in performance. Furthermore, this gives all players the same chances.
If players leave Vengeance, they can take everything with them, including alliance and champion points, but not the collected items.
What else is there? Besides the test, you can also play the Cyrodiil Conquest Golden Pursuit
campaign until March 31. There are plenty of gold and other rewards waiting for you when you complete PvP-related activities.
The developers of The Elder Scrolls Online are taking an important step for better game performance with this test. It was recently announced that mods will also be made compatible for console players: Elder Scrolls Online finally brings to consoles what made Skyrim a hit – players celebrate
