TESO fans are eagerly waiting for the announcement of the next beta weekend. They eagerly anticipate every tidbit of information and interpret every movement from Zeniimax employees as if they were reading Joyce.
This has a long tradition: Even in ancient Rome, priests wanted to determine the plans of the gods by observing the flight of birds or the entrails of sacrificial animals. Today, we just stare at tweets and status reports to find out what “soon” really means.
This weekend or wait a week?
Many speculate that if the beta takes place this weekend, Zenimax would announce something today. Pessimists, on the other hand, speculate that the beta might still be a while away. An especially mystical date is the first Tuesday of the month. That would still take a whole week.
We at mein-mmo.de are real gamers and can empathize with every waiting fan, which is why we promise: As soon as we hear anything new about a beta invitation, we will update this news here.
+++Update 19:20+++
A news has just appeared on the official page with the information that the next beta event will take place this weekend – from Friday at 6 PM to Monday at 6 AM!

This weekend we want to invite millions to test The Elder Scrolls Online!
Today we are sending out more beta invitations to test ESO on an even larger scale. If you receive an invitation, it will also include an additional key, which will allow a friend to assist you in Tamriel!

During this beta, you will no longer have to adhere to the Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA). We invite you to share your best screenshots or videos with your friends or to stream your adventures for everyone to see. (…) All participants of this testing weekend will also earn an exclusive companion in the form of a little monkey for PC and Mac, which will be waiting for you upon the release of the game.

And on the other hand, we have searched for two videos from the multitude of TESO clips on the internet to shorten your waiting time until the next news.
In this video, you can see the changes in the beta patch that we reported on in the last days in full action. The gameplay not only shows the new collision detection, but the tester also discusses the possibility of skipping the starter island.
In this video, however, a young beta tester plays The Elder Scrolls Online on an exceptionally luxurious set-up and apparently has trouble following her character. It’s also just mean that she keeps getting stuck. Or as her father explains: “Sweetheart, you’re not stuck anywhere, you just forgot to move.”
Reminds me of a raid in WoW with a drunken tank!
