Elden Ring: Nightreign will shake up the familiar Souls formula this May. Various classes will be available to you. So far, 4 were known, but in a new trailer, From Software shows a ranged class that could fulfill the wishes of many long-time fans.
What is Elden Ring Nightreign? In Elden Ring: Nightreign, the classic gameplay of the Souls series will mix with rogue-like and battle royale mechanics. The multiplayer game relies on various classes that play significantly more agile.
Despite the major change, the crisp difficulty level remains, as MeinMMO author Caroline Fuller experienced herself. Until now, only 4 classes were known, but in a new trailer, Bandai Namco presented the Ironeye, a ranged class that relies on the bow.

Perfect for Souls fans who want to fight as an archer
What kind of class is it? In the trailer, you can see immediately that the Ironeye is an archer, who primarily focuses on ranged combat. However, he is significantly more agile than in the Souls series. You see the character sliding and firing 3 arrows or jumping off a wall to shoot in the air. This is reminiscent of Legolas from Lord of the Rings, who agilely attacked gigantic opponents.
However, the Iron Eye does not only rely on simple arrows. In the trailer, you can see how the character uses a fire bow to attack a larger boss with elemental attacks. Additionally, there is a kind of dash attack with a knife that allows you to quickly jump behind the enemy.
At the end of the trailer, you can see a strong arrow attack that hits several enemies in a beam. A finisher is, of course, also not to be missed in the trailer.
In previous Souls games, bows were more of a weapon that was rarely used because aiming and moving was clunky and quite ineffective. Besides magic, there were relatively few ranged options.
How could the class be used in the game? Due to the agile combat style and focus on ranged combat, the class could work perfectly in conjunction with tank classes. While one player engages in melee, the Ironeye could assist from a distance.
When can you play Elden Ring: Nightreign? You will have to be a little patient for the release of the new multiplayer title from From Software.
