What kind of game is Elden Ring: Nightreign? Elden Ring: Nightreign is a spin-off of the namesake title by FromSoftware. However, the focus here is not on exploring the world solo, but on taking down tough bosses as a team to advance the story.
You choose one of 8 classes and then fight through the map of Limveldt as a team to challenge the Night Lord. The bosses are tough even in a team, but some players still want to dive into the adventure solo.
It is possible, but is it also fun? Our video producer Lynn England has had a chance to play and reveals in her video whether it is worth it and what you should pay attention to.
Tips for what you should pay attention to as a solo player
As a solo player, you should first familiarize yourself with the basics:
- What classes are there?
- What can the classes do?
- How do you best fight with the classes?
You can comfortably practice and test all of this in the training area next to the round table. There, you will also find a chest with all the weapons from the loot pool as well as various dummies on which you can deal damage and execute combos.

An important tip is that you should first focus on the cathedrals in the surrounding area as soon as you spawn. Each of them gives you an additional charge of your healing potions. This is especially important when you challenge one of the Night Lords, as they have massive health and will surely catch you at least once.
Additionally, established routes are important. You should plan these when you land on the map. Not every castle should be stormed, and it makes sense to hunt smaller enemies first to level up a bit. This way, you become tougher and won’t go down as quickly.
