In the latest video from Carbine, the developer studio behind “WildStar“, a bit more is explained about a form of group content, namely “Adventures”.
It appears to be instanced areas that require a group of 5 people and start with the “Guardian” – an artificial intelligence left behind by the Eldan, which was used to observe life on Nexus. In Adventures, it is not only about the combat performance of the group, but other dangers must also be mastered, presumably in the form of small mini-games or short quest episodes. Unlike dungeons or raids, Adventures are only simulations, so the scenarios played have no impact on the main story – and can be repeated endlessly.
The most outstanding feature is the variety of choices that players can make within the different simulations, so an adventure can take a different course depending on the decisions made. Whether these decisions are made democratically within the group, alternately, or according to the “first come, first served” principle is still unknown.
Anyone who has not yet watched this quite amusing video can catch up on it here and get their own impression of what the characters of WildStar will experience in the near future:
We hope that it plays as amusingly as it currently appears in the trailer.
P.S.: A developer video about the adventures has now been released.
